PARTICIPATION

The Summit will bring together high-level decision-makers on diaspora engagement, including representatives from governments, intergovernmental organizations, regional institutions, and the private sector.

The Summit expects to host approximately 1,500 participants in person and attract an additional 15,000 participants virtually, ensuring broader engagement and participation from the diaspora community worldwide.

 

EXPECTED OUTCOMES

❖ Identification of concrete actions and initiatives for diaspora engagement in key sectors of Ghana’s economy, such as manufacturing, agriculture, ICT, tourism, and renewable energy.

❖ Strengthened collaboration and partnership between government representatives, intergovernmental organizations, the private sector, and civil society networks, fostering a cohesive and integrated approach to diaspora engagement.

❖ Increased awareness and understanding of investment opportunities in Ghana for the diaspora community, including access to information, resources, and support for investment projects.

❖ Enhanced trust, cooperation, and coordination among key stakeholders, resulting in sustainable and impactful initiatives that drive economic growth, job creation, and socio-economic development in Ghana.

 

EXPECTED OUTPUTS

Summit Outcomes Report: A comprehensive report highlighting the key outcomes, recommendations, and actionable items from the main Forum, breakout sessions, workshops, and interactions. The report will serve as a valuable resource for stakeholders to implement proposed initiatives and monitor progress.

Partnerships and Collaborations: Strengthened networks and partnerships among government agencies, intergovernmental organizations, private sector entities, civil society networks, and the diaspora community, leading to joint initiatives and investment projects.

Investment Pledges and Commitments: Concrete investment pledges and commitments from diaspora individuals, organizations, and investors, indicating their intent to support Ghana’s economic development through strategic investments, knowledge transfer, and capacity building.
